A Private Samana Day

This page describes the shape of a custom cruise day. It does not mean a private tour is available from this website.

One group, one focus

A private day is useful when pace, mobility, or a narrow interest does not fit a shared outing. The content of the day should still be one thing. A family that wants the waterfall should not also be promised the mangroves and the island because the vehicle is “theirs”. The peninsula is not that small in practice, once you include getting ashore and getting back.

What people usually mean

  • A land-leaning day toward El Limón, with the freedom to go slowly or turn back.
  • A boat-leaning day aimed at Los Haitises, without treating the island as an automatic second stop.
  • A quieter waterfront and viewpoint morning if the group does not want a featured landscape at all. That is a valid private plan. It is not listed here as a route with stops.
  • In whale season only, time on the bay — with the same rule as the whale page: sightings are never guaranteed, and this site does not name a boat.

What to settle with whoever you hire

If you do arrange a private day elsewhere, the useful questions are about the return to the ship, what happens if weather changes the plan, how many people are in the vehicle or boat, and whether the price you were given is theirs. None of those answers are published here, because no supplier relationship is verified for this domain.
